The Poe Museum provides a retreat into early 19th century Richmond where Edgar Allan Poe lived and worked. The museum features Poe’s life and career by documenting his accomplishments with pictures, relics, and verse, and focusing on his many years in Richmond.

In this episode of Spirited History we chatted with Kathleen Tedsen and Beverlee Rydel, two wonderfully talented writers, lecturers, and paranormal investigators. “Haunted Travels of Michigan” is the first in their book series ”Haunted Travels”. It focuses on their investigations and research into Michigan’s most haunted locations and include restaurants, bars, hotels and bed and breakasts, all with a strong reputation of paranormal activity. The second book in their series will expands their research and investigations focusing on Michigan and Ohio with stories that include haunted lighthouses, musesums, opera houses and other historic locations. Although the book contains numerous photographs, a new level is added when you are given a password to reach the protected “Secret Room” where each story within their book becomes web interactive.
