Join us as we explore Preston Castle in Ione, CA. Preston School of Industry was established by the State Legislature to help rehabilitate young boys rather than simply imprisoning them as juvenile offenders. It opened on June 13, 1894 and closed its doors in the 1960’s. Over the years it has fallen into disrepair until the Preston Castle Foundation started it’s rehabilataion in 2001.
